About The Club
Established in 1971,the Columbia Basin Bass Club is a non-profit organization and Washington State's largest family-oriented bass club. Members share their interest in the sport of bass fishing while the level of ability in our club ranges from novice to professional.
PURPOSE
To promote and enhance Bass Fishing in the Columbia Basin Area, providing recreation and entertainment while teaching conservation through catch and release programs, preservation and restoration of Natural Bass Habitat, through monthly meetings and activities.

AREA
The Columbia Basin area offers a vast number of productive fishing waters to suit any angler whether they are after Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Perch, Crappie, Walleye, or many other game fish. The Columbia Basin Bass Club fishes throughout the waters of the Columbia River, Snake River, Yakima River, Potholes Reservoir, O'Sullivan Dam, Scootney, Moses Lake and Banks Lake just to name a few.
ACTIVITIES
Columbia Basin Bass Club's activities include (5) five annual Derbies "Spring," "John Lawson Memorial", "Summer", "Dog Days" and "Fall" (Points Derbies), plus our Couples, Juniors and the Later Greater Derby (Non-Points Derbies). Prizes and trophies are awarded for the highest total weight and largest fish in both Adult and Junior Divisions. We have a summer picnic with lots of good Food, games and prizes. Ask the kids about the water balloon toss, sack races, watermelon eating and corn shucking contests. Throughout the year we sponsor work parties to enhance the habitat with structure plants, area cleanup and repair. We also assist the Fish and Game Department with research data. Our Awards Banquet is held annually to honor the Club Champions. Awards are given for the Angler of the Year, Female Angler of the Year, the Rookie of the Year the Senior Angler of the Year, the largest Largemouth Bass, the largest Smallmouth Bass and last but definitely not least the Sad Sack aka "BradSack" Award.
PUBLICATIONS CBBC's Newsletter "Fish Tales" is published monthly giving updated information on future events, stories of derbies and area fishing reports-not to mention various other quips/quotes and ideas in articles donated by various members.
MEMBERSHIP
CBBC consists of families, singles of both genders, young and elderly alike joining together to combine Bass fishing and conservation throughout the Columbia Basin area. Most of all, CBBC is about having fun.
MEETINGS
Columbia Basin Bass Club meetings are held monthly the last Tuesday of the month at the Benton County PUD, 2721 West 10th Avenue in Kennewick, WA at 7:00 p.m. New members and guests are always welcome. Please feel free to visit our meetings and join in on the fun CBBC provides for your enjoyment.
